Terms of service.
Our Intent:
It is my desire to deliver viable tubers with at least one identifiable eye. Tubers may be dormant at the time of shipment and eyes may be difficult to discern. All tubers sold by our farm are grown on our farm for a minimum of one full year and have passed in-house inspections for disease and pests. We do not resell tubers ordered from other growers or import tubers for the purpose of resale in the same season.
Your Order:
Upon delivery, please inspect your tubers immediately. If you have questions or concerns, you must contact us at sunnydaysdahlia@gmail.com within 7 days of receipt. If no contact is made within this timeframe, responsibility for the tubers transfers fully to you. Sunny Days Dahlia is not liable for damage or loss resulting from negligence, weather conditions, pests, improper planting (including planting vertically), improper growing conditions, improper storage, or plant performance in current or future seasons.
Cart:
Items placed in your cart are not reserved. Your items are only secured once checkout is completed and you receive an email order confirmation. If items are removed from your cart or marked “Out of Stock” during checkout, another customer completed payment first. This is determined by the web platform and is beyond our control.
Virus & Disease:
To maintain a healthy field, we follow American Dahlia Society (ADS) recommendations, including culling suspicious plants and disinfecting snips, loppers, and shears between plants. According to ADS data, up to 87% of plants showing no visible symptoms may still carry at least one virus. While we take precautions to mitigate risk, viruses can be present without outward signs. By purchasing from our farm, you acknowledge that all living plants carry inherent risk of virus and/or disease, and you agree that we cannot be held responsible for these occurrences. If you have concerns, please contact us promptly. Plants that appear unhealthy may simply require proper fertilization and/or hydration.
Shipping:
Due to U.S. Department of Agriculture regulations, we only ship within the continental United States, excluding Alaska and Hawaii. No international sales. Tubers ship only after the foreseeable risk of freezing temperatures has passed—First orders will go out in late March to early April, though timing may vary by season.
Packaging:
Each tuber is hand-packed by our farm. Tubers of the same variety may be grouped together in a labeled paper bag. We take reasonable measures to ensure safe delivery; however, we are not responsible for damage caused by postal handling or carrier abuse.
Limits per Household:
To ensure fair access to high-demand varieties, household limits may apply to select tubers. A “household” is defined as shipment to a single address, not an individual purchaser. Please respect posted limits. If we determine that limits have been intentionally circumvented, through multiple orders or multiple buyers all orders shipping to the specified address will be cancelled and fully refunded.
Substitutions:
We are a small, family-run farm and cannot guarantee substitution availability in the event of stock loss or crop failure. If we are unable to fulfill part of your order, we will contact you to determine the next course of action.
Returns and Exceptions:
All sales are final, and we do not offer routine returns or exchanges. In limited circumstances and at our sole discretion, we may authorize a return or other resolution. Any concern must be reported to us in writing within 7 days of delivery for review.
If an exception is approved, tubers must be returned to our farm only after written authorization and must be received by our farm within 30 days of the authorization date. Only after the returned items are received will refunds or replacement items be released. Approved returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable, and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise stated in writing.
Unauthorized returns, returns received without prior approval, or returns received outside the 30-day window will not be accepted and will not be refunded.
If an order is shipped to the address provided by the buyer and is returned by the U.S. Postal Service as invalid or undeliverable, the order will be cancelled and refunded at 50% of the purchase price.
Cancellations:
All sales are final. We do not accept cancellations. In the event that circumstances beyond our control (including storage failure or crop loss) prevent shipment of a specific tuber, we will notify you and work together to determine the best resolution.
Order Revisions:
Once an order is placed, it cannot be modified online for any reason, including address or item changes. Any requested changes must be submitted by email to sunnydaysdahlia@gmail.com with your order number included in the subject line.
Combinations:
Each order is invoiced and shipped separately. Orders cannot be combined at this time.
Virus & Disease:
By purchasing from our farm, you acknowledge that all plant material carries inherent risk of virus and/or disease, and you agree that Sunny Days Dahlia cannot be held responsible for these outcomes despite our adherence to best practices.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.
